Revised proposal for super dairy likely as bosses prepare to meet the public

The company behnind the latest plan for a super dairy near
Lincoln wants people to suggest what community benefits it could
bring. A revised proposal appears imminent as representatives of
the firm plan to meet residents this coming weekend.
Company director Mr Willes told the Echo he and his colleagues were keen to hear more from the community.
He said: "If there is a community benefit that would fit in with the farm then we are open to suggestion.
"We own land nearby, so perhaps people may want a park or perhaps we could open up the woods but we are open-minded about it."
The consultation sessions are at Wood Farm, Dunston Fen Lane, Dunston, from 6pm to 8.30pm on Friday and from 8am to 2pm on Saturday. But villagers are already expressing their scepticism about how the super-dairy project could possibly improve their

Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 - Great Success
Vegan Lincs organised the 4th Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 on Saturday 12th November, Juliet Gellately Director and Founder of Viva opened the event which was a great success with almost 700 visitors attending the event - with many coming from Birmingham, Sheffield, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire - the feedback was really positive and everyone enjoyed the day. There were lots of new faces, and there were many who had been before - some even were reunited after several years of not seeing each other.
We had a surpise visit from famous Dub Poet and author - Benjamin Zephaniah, who enjoyed the event and sampled some great vegan friendly food - including Yellowbelly's Sticky Toffee Cup Cake! (see www.yellowbellys.co.uk for a short clip of Benjamin's comments on yellowbelly's cakes)
