Lincoln Indoor Picnic 21st May 2011 a Great Success!
Date: 2011-05-23
Lincoln Indoor Picnic was a great success - everyone enjoyed the great free vegan friendly food!
The Lincoln Indoor Picnic on 21st May 2011 was a great success - around 150 visitors attended and the first 25 received free goody bags.
Many leading vegan friendly companies sponsored the event with some amazing food - great cheese from Bute Island, Fry's frozen food from Beanies, Redwoods foods, Kinnerton chocolate, Organica chocolate from Venture Foods, Plamil, Moo Free, Goody Goodstuff, Lincolnshire Coop and more.
Everyone had a great time and were amazed at the selection of food and gave comments like:
"I had no idea vegan food could taste so good"! ... "It has given me a lot to think about"!
The cookery demonstration went down well too - with the vegan challenge being completed with 4 separate meals in one hour! The audience had a laugh too!

Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 - Great Success
Vegan Lincs organised the 4th Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 on Saturday 12th November, Juliet Gellately Director and Founder of Viva opened the event which was a great success with almost 700 visitors attending the event - with many coming from Birmingham, Sheffield, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire - the feedback was really positive and everyone enjoyed the day. There were lots of new faces, and there were many who had been before - some even were reunited after several years of not seeing each other.
We had a surpise visit from famous Dub Poet and author - Benjamin Zephaniah, who enjoyed the event and sampled some great vegan friendly food - including Yellowbelly's Sticky Toffee Cup Cake! (see www.yellowbellys.co.uk for a short clip of Benjamin's comments on yellowbelly's cakes)
