Difficulties at NKDC planning website
Date: 2011-01-16
Continuing problems bug the NKDC planning website
Difficulty has been experienced this weekend in accessing the NKDC planning website. Both today and yesterday (16/17th January) the planning site was inaccessible. While it is accepted errors do occur with web servers, especially with such a large amount of interest from the public, the problems should be sorted as quickly as possible. To have no access for most of the weekend is unacceptable, as comments for the proposed pipeline cannot be lodged. One wonders if NKDC will extend the comment period to take this into account! Here's hoping that NKDC IT team get on the case as quickly as possible on Monday morning.
As a reminder, when the site does come back on-line, the planning application for the proposed digestate pipeline from Nocton to Wasps Nest is: 10/1522/FUL

Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 - Great Success
Vegan Lincs organised the 4th Lincoln Veggie Fayre 2011 on Saturday 12th November, Juliet Gellately Director and Founder of Viva opened the event which was a great success with almost 700 visitors attending the event - with many coming from Birmingham, Sheffield, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire - the feedback was really positive and everyone enjoyed the day. There were lots of new faces, and there were many who had been before - some even were reunited after several years of not seeing each other.
We had a surpise visit from famous Dub Poet and author - Benjamin Zephaniah, who enjoyed the event and sampled some great vegan friendly food - including Yellowbelly's Sticky Toffee Cup Cake! (see www.yellowbellys.co.uk for a short clip of Benjamin's comments on yellowbelly's cakes)
